The short version
- Before launch we collect only what you enter in the waitlist form, plus a few technical details that stop spam.

1. Who we are
BoundReady (“BoundReady”, “we”, “us”) is a book formatting service available at boundready.com. It is operated by Maksim Khoroshilov, a private entrepreneur (PE) registered in the Republic of Armenia, registration number 286.1573997, postal address 26A M. Khorenatsi St., Office 201, Kentron, Yerevan 0018, Armenia.
We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us about anything privacy related at support@boundready.com.
2. What we collect now
BoundReady has not launched yet. Today, the website collects personal data only in these situations.
2.1 When you join the waitlist
- Your email address (required).
- Optional survey answers: what you write (fiction, non-fiction or both), where you publish and what you currently use for formatting.
- A record of your consent: the date and time you agreed and the version of this policy.
- Where you signed up: the page with the form, campaign tags in the link you followed (UTM parameters, if any) and the domain of the website that referred you (only the domain, never the full address).
2.2 Technical data that protects the form
To stop spam and abuse, we limit how often the form can be submitted from one network. For this we store a one-way, salted hash of your IP address instead of the address itself. The salt is a random value that changes every day and is deleted after the day ends, so the stored hash cannot be used to recover or recognize your IP address later. Each submission attempt (the hash and the time) is kept for up to 24 hours. The hash of the submission that added you to the list is kept with your waitlist entry.
We also record a coarse label for your browser and operating system, such as “Chrome / Windows”, so we know which computers to support first. We do not store the full user-agent string.
2.3 Hosting and security logs
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as IP addresses and request details to deliver the website and protect it from attacks. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
2.4 When you email us
If you write to us, we process your email address and your message to answer you.
2.5 Cookies and the free tools
This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising or social media trackers. The free calculators run entirely in your browser: the values you enter are not sent to us. To make results easy to share, the calculators add your inputs to the page address; that address stays in your browser unless you share it.
3. What we will collect after launch
When the BoundReady app opens, using it will involve the following additional data. We will update this policy before launch and tell waitlist members about any material changes.
- Account data: your email address, an optional name and the data needed to sign you in.
- Your content: the manuscripts, images and covers you upload, your settings and the files we generate for you.
- Usage data: events that describe what happens in the app, for example “export completed”, so we can fix problems and improve it. These events never contain the text of your manuscript.
- Purchase data: Paddle processes your payment. We receive order details such as the product, price, country, your email address and Paddle’s order and customer IDs. We never receive full card numbers.
- Support conversations you have with us.
4. How we use data and why (legal bases)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, data protection law requires a legal basis for each use. Ours are:

We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.
5. Your manuscripts and AI
This is a commitment for the BoundReady app:
- You keep all rights to your manuscripts, images and covers.
- We will never use your manuscripts or any files you upload to train AI models, and we will not allow our service providers to do so.
- AI help is optional. When you turn it on, only the short excerpts needed to resolve ambiguous structure (for example, the first words of a paragraph that might be a chapter title) are sent to our AI provider, under terms that prohibit training on them. Everything else, including the layout and your final files, is produced by our own code.
- We look at your content only to provide the service, to help you when you ask us to, or when the law requires it.
- You can delete your books and all their files from your account at any time.
6. Who we share data with
We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of service providers (processors) who handle data on our behalf, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States): website hosting, the waitlist database (Cloudflare D1, stored in the European Union), DNS, security, and forwarding of email sent to support@boundready.com.
After launch we expect to add the following providers. We will list the final set here before the app opens:
- Paddle.com Market Limited (United Kingdom) and its affiliates: our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle processes your payment and billing details as an independent controller under Paddle’s privacy policy.
- Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany): application servers and file storage in the European Union.
- Anthropic PBC (United States): optional AI help with ambiguous manuscript structure.
- A transactional email provider, for sign-in and account emails.
- Product analytics and error monitoring providers, configured to exclude manuscript text.
We may also disclose data when the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a business transfer, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your data.
7. International transfers
BoundReady is operated from Armenia, and some of our providers process data in the United States and elsewhere. When personal data from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland is transferred to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK addendum) or on the provider’s certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, together with additional safeguards where needed.
8. How long we keep data
- Waitlist entries: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and no longer than 12 months after BoundReady’s public launch unless you create an account.
- Rate-limiting records: 24 hours. Daily salts are deleted after their day ends.
- Support emails: as long as needed to help you, and no longer than 24 months after the conversation ends.
- After launch: account data for as long as your account is open; your books until you delete them or close your account; purchase records for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Protection of Personal Data, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- correct inaccurate data;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict or object to certain processing, including processing based on our legitimate interests;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing that happened before;
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, such as the data protection authority where you live or work.
To use any of these rights, email support@boundready.com from the address concerned. We will reply within one month. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by replying to it.
If you are a California resident: we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and you may ask us to access or delete your personal information as described above.
10. Security
The website is served only over HTTPS. We collect as little data as possible, store IP addresses only as salted hashes, and limit access to personal data to the people who need it to run BoundReady. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the authorities of a breach where the law requires.
11. Children
BoundReady is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will tell waitlist members and users by email before it takes effect.
